Hera Systems appoints Jeffrey Grant to Advisory Board
Leader in Commercial Space Sector and Intelligence Community Brings Unique Customer Perspective

Hera Systems is proud to announce that that Jeffrey D. Grant, a senior leader in commercial Space industry and the Intelligence Community, has been appointed to the Hera Systems Advisory Board.
Through experience gained through executive positions within the government sector and in private industry, Jeffrey Grant brings a unique perspective to the newly-established Advisory Board for Hera Systems.
“We are excited to be expanding our Advisory Board with Jeff’s appointment,” stated Dr Roger Roberts, Hera Systems President and CEO. “He has an intimate understanding of our government customers, having served them throughout his career from both the public and private sectors. We know that his appointment to our Advisory Board will provide us invaluable guidance as we move through the next stage of Hera Systems’ growth,” continued Roberts.

Grant has served on the board of Space Foundation since 2014 and was elected as Vice Chairman in 2019.
He retired as Sector Vice President and General Manager of Space Systems at Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems, where he was responsible for providing space solutions for civil, military and restricted customers. Grant also held responsibilities for acquisition and execution of all space programs for restricted customers, including the design, build, launch and operations of major systems, as well as managing new business for those customers.
Prior to joining the private sector in positions with Astrolink and TRW, Grant served for 21 years at the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency in positions at the CIA/National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), Directorate of Science and Technology, and Directorate of Intelligence, Office of Scientific Intelligence. During 18 years at the NRO, Grant served as program director for satellite, launch and ground segment development, and was also the Chief Systems Engineer for two space intelligence collection projects.
In addition to his position with the Space Foundation, Grant also serves on the Board of Trustees of The Aerospace Corporation. During his career, he has received numerous awards, including the Distinguished Intelligence Medal, the Intelligence Medal of Merit and CIA Engineer of the Year. Grant earned his B.S. in Ocean Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology.
